Doctrinal Statement
The Scriptures

We believe in the plenary and verbal inspiration and authority of all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments as the divinely inspired Word of God. (Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21)

The Trinity

We believe in one Divine essence which is called and is truly God, eternally existing in 3 persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfection. We believe in one Creator of all thing visible and unvisible. (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30, Collossians 2:9, 1 John 5:7-8)

God The Father

We believe that God the Father is the first person in the Holy Trinity. (John 1:1, 1 Corinthians 8:6)

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God and second person of the Trinity, became truly and fully man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful humanity. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His true death on the cross as a propitiatory and substitutionary sacrifice, and that our redemption is made available to us by His bodily resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven, exalted at the right hand of God the Father where He fulfills the ministry of intercession for all believers. We believe in the bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. (Isaiah 9:6, John 14:6, John 20:28, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Hebrews 12:2)

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the blessed Trinity who dwells in all believers, calls humanity through the Gospel, enlightens with His gifts, sanctifies the whole church on earth, and preserves it in union with Jesus Christ in the one true faith. (John 14:16-17, John 14:26, Acts 1:8,  Acts 2:38, 1 Corinthians 6:9)

The Creation and Fall

We believe that God created and formed the universe in six days as described in Genesis chapter one. We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam’s sin became alienated from God, acquired a sin nature, and came under the Law and the penalty of death. We believe that in addition to humankind, God created intelligent spirits endowed with free will known as angels. Some of those angels rebelled against God and formed an active opposition to God’s purposes. The chief of these adversaries of God and the human race is called, variously, Satan, Lucifer, and the Devil. (Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:1-24, Romans 5:12, Hebrews 11:3)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God offered to man to be received not by any human work but by faith in Christ Jesus. We believe that faith is manifested in good works, since true faith will produce works pleasing to the Father. (Matthew 7:21, John 3:16-18, John 14:6, John 15, Acts 2:38, Acts 4:12, Acts 16:30-33, Romans 3:23, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Revelation 22:17)

Baptism

We believe in immersive water baptism that should follow a sincere believer's salvation experience as a public declaration of their faith. It is the means in which a believer is buried and raised with Christ. (Matthew 3:16, Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:16, John 3:5, Acts 2:38-41, Acts 8:12, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:4, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12,1 Peter 3:21)

The Lord's Supper

We believe that the Lord's Supper is the commemoration and proclamation of his death until He comes, and should always be proceeded by solemn self-examination. We also believe that, whereas the elements of Communion are only representative of the flesh and blood of Christ, participation in the Lord's Supper is nonetheless an actual communion with the risen Christ, who indwells every believer, and so is present, fellowshipping with His people. (Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

Heaven, Hell, and Eternity

We believe that the condition and retribution of the lost and the salvation and blessedness of the saved are conscious and everlasting. Hell is the place of eternal seperation from God, called the Lake of Fire. Heaven is a place eternal union with God in the Holy City for the saved. (Ezekiel 18:20, Daniel 12:2, Matthew 13:49-50, Matthew 25:46, Mark 9:43, John 5:28-29, Romans 6:23, Romans 2:7, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Hebrews 9:27,  Jude 1:7, Revelation 20:12-15, Revelation 21:8)

Marriage

We believe that God instituted marriage to be a sacred vow between one man and one woman for a lifelong commitment to each other, representing the relationship between the Bridegroom, Christ, and His Bride, the Church. (Genesis 2:24, Proverbs 18:22, Matthew 19:4-6, 1 Corinthians 7:2-11, Ephesians 5:22-33, Colossians 3:18-19, Hebrews 13:4)
